It’s Christmas at my house

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks really nice!

Offhand... looks to be a glass 360g?

Can you tell us a bit about the tank/ stand, and manufacturer? I am in the market for a 360 - 450g. (96x36x24, or 96x36x30).

Personally, any info you can provide is super helpful. Thanks... and good luck with the setup!

Yes of course, The dimensions are 120x36x24 it is made with 1 inch acrylic on all panels including top and bottom. Fit and finish are amazing. The sump is 72x24x24 it will utilize a drip plate and bioballs for the first section followed by k1 rolling media with an algae scrubber to cut down on nitrates. I was looking all over for a manufacturer of quality acrylic aquariums and was turned on to a great builder 15 minutes from my home. lol the name of the business is American Aquariums . not the builder in Pennsylvania I think but they are located in froward county florida. the attention to detail and the enthusiasm in how the build was approached was amazing. Owner is Chris. If you want more details feel free to private message me

Beautiful. Very impressive, especially since its a 10 footer. It seems like Florida is the place for large acrylic tanks. I am seriously considering Suncoast. I appreciate the info you shared, and will dig in a bit more.

Many thanks...and keep the forum posted on the progress!

It’s a beautiful tank! What’s going inside?
The plan is 1 Arowana , 1 fire eel, a pair of high grade chili red oscars a pair of high grade lemon oscars . teh 2 pair of oscars are being sourced from out of the country and then a few Geophagus exact type still to be decided on same as the amount of. was really thinking of a pair of obicularis as well. I am definitely open to suggestions from you guys as far as stocking.

Can't tell the quality of the tank just from pictures, although it looks clean and well-asembled. That stand is impressive! Extruded aluminum with some kind of modular attachment system? Looks solid and ready for orbital re-entry.

Now...as to stocking suggestions...you're asking for advice on what flavour of ice cream is best, from a large group of people who have fewer choices available to them than you do with a tank like that! :)

I'll start the bidding with goldfish! :)
