My daughter wants to add a layer of black sand. Thoughts? It wouldn’t be much, you’d still be able to see the blue.

Pond looks great!! What fish are you moving in?

I would think a layer of black sand would not hurt anything and may make viewing the fish easier.
It will trap a lot of detritus though and would most likely need to be vacuumed every now and then.
