The Rex
The time has come where i believe i will be able to breed my bleheri. I need from anyone that has actually breed channa bleheri before, what is the exact temperature range I should lower the tank to? For How long do i have to keep the temp there? What is the range the temp should be when i raise it? Is five inchs big enough for a female to breed? Because the males are 6 inchs...do i have to remove my 1.5 inch loaches and plecos?

Thanks for all you help guys

I don't know how to do it, but I think breeding them would be cool!

Great Dwarfs! Sad they are so rare now. If I'm not mistaken, i think Bleheris like cooler temps and actually build bubble nests rather then egg lay or mouthbrood. They may like to choose a mate from a group theyve been raised with as small juveniles into sexual maturity. I would suggest weaker filtration and no turbulence at the surface of the water, plenty of cover and a quiet room that can be isolated from noise or people for a while and may help to cover the tank with a sheet. If conditions are right the they may spawn after a nice sized water change. Toying with water levels and aVaried diet may help as well.. earthworms, meal worms, shrimp etc.
I wish you all the success in the world.
GoodLuck!
