So I recently had my LF rosy barbs spawn.. and now my albino corys have just done their second spawn today... but the kicker is.. I wasn't even trying to spawn either species... anyone else get so "luckY" What species have you gotten to spawn by defalt? I do have about a dozen baby rosys so far, and my first batch of cory eggs where eaten... so i'm not being to optimistic with this batch. But it's pretty cool to have fish breeding just because. In the past i've had corys spawn, and other community fish but it's been years since i had corys or comm fish in general... the last fish I had unintentionally spawn on me where a pair of percula's and some pipefish... but that must have been 10yrs ago now. So yeah, who else has woken up or come home to fry or eggs in their tanks unexpectedly?

Nice. Do cichlids count? lol. I've never had that happen except for some bristlenose plecos but who can stop them from breeding? Maybe one day I'll get lucky and my silver dollars will spawn but I'm not holding my breath.

I had some corys do that a while back. I only ever found one baby, it had been sucked into a marineland magnum 350 a d survived somehow. When I found it, it was 1/2 to 3/4" and took days to stop swimming full speed because it had spent its whole life swimming against the current in the filter!

lol most cichlids breed like mice.... not sure if they count lol! and I've heard of BN's spawning randomly on people. Thats kinda funny about the cory's.. I've found all kinds of livebearer fry in the sumps at work in the past. and SD's would be a cool "surprize!" never heard of those breeding for hobbyists.

And yes, its kinda funny how fish always seem to breed in comm tanks so all the fry/eggs get eaten. but keep them in species tanks or "try" to breed them and they do nothing.
