Hi all,
Last post end May 08. Recently got rid of mono, bgk and 7 red tail chalceau, to make room for 6 nr IT's. Now I have 8 ranging from 9" to 3" in a 100G tank. 5 are stable, and 3 are not. Did a few things in the last 6 weeks to try to stabilise the oldest and biggest 2 it's (8 and 9" both use to be stable and for last 2 years have been dark and unstable.)
Changes (last 4 weeks):
added 1 extra 25% water chnage/wk
started feeding lance fish and bloodworm cubes as staple, with prawn and krill everynow an then
added 6 more IT's to increase competitiveness and stimulate displaying
changed black background to blue (after years of having black)
removed 90% of bogwood (about 12 kg) (used to have lots of hiding)
Noticed:
The stable togers, remained stable
. see pics.
The other 2 big ustable ones, are still a bit dark
. Though are showing signs of trying to change colour. which is hopeful. MAy take a lot more time though of getting used to bare tank.
Is there anything else I could do to bring the 2 unstable ones back to their former glory?
