Knee deep in fish
My albino chanel has been flashing or scratching every now and then he has no sign of ich or any parasites and has always been healthy water checks out good temp at 77.Anyone got any ideas on whats going on

Definitely sounds like early signs of ich, but keep in mind that ocassionally all catfish will do this if they are uncomfortable for any reason. Kinda strange to see them scratch their heads by swimming upside down.

I did a hundred gal wc and moved the temp up 2 degrees and added some salt.No flashing yet today, got my fingers crossed.

2*^ probably wont do much. i add 1 Tablespoon per 10g salt and ^ temp to 86*

I moved the temp up 2 degres more today.I only bump my temp up about 2 degrees a day to avoid stress plus 300gal heats up rather slowly

Flashing is somewhat normal for cats... if it's occasional... My RTC does that almost everytime he eats his limit... it's a sign of being uncomfortable.

It could also be a sign of stress or as necro said an early sign of Ich... or they just need to scratch LOL.. I wouldn't worry about it to much unless it becomes more frequent and appears to be for no reason.

Our Channel Cat is also flashing. I only notice it after they eat. I checked the water levels and they are OK and the other fish in the tank are not flashing at all. No signs of ich..yet. What's causing this, what can I do for it, is this normal, should I be worried. Thank you for the help.
