Hey guys,

Its been 3-4 weeks since I starved my two dats (indo 6inch, ntt 3-4inch)

I just got some massivores (was using cichlid gold/prima) and the ntt is finally starting to take it in his mouth but spits it out!
and the indo is still not having any of it!

Indo still looks healthy, whereas the ntt is starting to look skinny (caved in stomache) shall I continue? is the ntt finally starting to break, or will he still not have it? since he is spitting it out!

Btw, Just started using massivores today !

Thanks in advance!

My 5 inch indo took 7 weeks before he ate a piece of chopped prawn. He ate nothing in 7 weeks.

I ain't gonna bother trying to convert him to pellets. It will take too long.

Good luck. I say keep going for anoter 3 weeks.
Show me a picture of the thin ntt please.

If u can't get carnivore , just crush the Massivore. A quick way to crush a whole bag of
Massivore :
Get 2 flat chopping boards. Pour the Massivore out and lay flat on board. Get the other board and use it to press down on the pellets. Ever so slightly. As soon as u hear a crunch stop. Job done. Pour it back in bag. But don't over crunch or will end up with too small a pieces

Hmm Ok, Ill give that a try !

I gave ntt a couple of pieces of prawn about 3 days ago cuz i thought he was getting a lil skinny (prawn mixed with pellet)
So I think he will be ok for a few more days or so before I give him a couple of pieces of prawn again!

Thanks,
Swarsh

Eat or die that's the rules if you stick to that you won't go wrong
If you worry every day it doesn't eat that it may die then it will stress you more than the fish

I know it sounds harsh but if they die from starvation when you offer food everyday then that's a foolish fish

Hmm, very true!
I'll stick to it! I'm sure hes starting to break!

Thanks,
Swarsh

Update on NTT,
He is now eating massivores like a beast! goes straight for it as soon as i put them in!

Indo is still not interested though! but he is much bigger than ntt and doesnt look too "skinny" at the moment.
hopefully he will break in the next week or so!
