Its Final! Need Advise and Questions Ansered before.

It final! Am getting my Common Snapper Tomorrow! Just some questions, will he hide alot to the point i dont see him? I have a pond plant that covers an area of the pond and i dont want him just hiding there all the time. And for a first meal i want to give him some frozen silver sides. I think ill give him 2? is this a good amount per day for a baby 6inch snapper? and i will also have Red-Leafed Lettece in there for him to eat 24/7. His Diet will mainly consist of Red-Leafed Lettece, Frozen Silver Sides,fish fliet, Turtle Food and once a month cooked chicken. And once he eats all this i will have a small school of feeders in there for him to snack on once in awhile. Suggestinons?

Im not sure whether he would eat the lettuce, as i think they are pretty much carnivorous but im sure another member can answer that. Good luck with him ive always wanted a snapper but would never be allowed one.

Well when u move out of your moms house you should get one, unless you have a wife. anyways ive read that they eat vegies also and one of there favs are Red-Leafed Lettce. and thanks ill be sure to post pics! =D

lol well thats the plan lol my gf loves animals and has quite a big interest in mine and she has her own too and were both doing an Animal Care Management course at college shes sorta fine with me having any pet aslong as itsnot a snake over like 10feet lol.

The only other problem is ive never really ever seen any for sale over here.

Well if you get a house u should do what ill do am ganna have like a bazliion tanks and kool stuff... Ontopic: anyone know if its hard at first feeding these guys?

it should not be a problem feeding him as long as he has not recently eating anything. As for the lettuce, he should nibble on it once and a while, but will mainly be all about the easy meaty meals.

k thanks!! am so exited!!!! and it would help if i put live food in AFTER he has an established diet right? and should i feed him after a couple hours of having him in the pond?
