Phenochilus, spooked at night, collides at high speed with slate rock. I hate that this happened. I turned the rock so the sharp side would be next to the tank wall. Changed the water, added Malawi salts, might go with Pimafix but there is nothing else I can do!

dude I know what you mean, my afros are constantly geting dinged up by my frickin slate...............I am seriously thing of going to lace rock!!

Anyways............the fish will be fine, add MELAFIX and salt like you have been doing and maybe do an extra water change in between to keep water quality up!! G/L!!!:)....keep us informed....:)

my fronts seem to be the ony ones that get dinged up?? goofy dumbasses!! hahahaha!!

lace rock is in the works i think.............OR a simple LARGE rivering rock setup??? KISS......keep it simple stupid?? haha!!:)

i would actually take the slate out, i dont think the "SHARP" ends are doing any good facing the glass. lol might do a little tank busting if you ask me...

Owch poor fish did it survive ? if so it must have a nasty scar I think you should really take the slate out the lakes are full of large round rocks and sand all of which would not harm them. However if you have to keep the slate you can sand it down with diamond coated emery paper , its not cheap but it works

Thanks for your concern. The fish is surviving and eating. I never had a problem with these rocks until the fish got big. I keep the closet light on for them.
