my indo dat is growing so fast! from 3in to 4ish in within a month or so! he is like no ordinary dat he always follow me i have heard young dats usually hide alot but mines dont! i have alot of caves tho but he acts as if he is and oscar begging for food. just wanted to bust this out XD just feel happy cant wait til he's huge! hope all you datnoid owners love yaa fish. any storys on your first datnoid? tell me!its Official i love my Datnoid!

My fist IT is my favorite of all my tigers. I got him when he was about 1.5" and he's about 3" now. I had no clue what I was getting into at first but he inspired me to sell all of my cichlids one day and I started to collect tigers. Haven't looked back since and don't plan on it any time soon. Now I'm much more informed and got him as well as all of my others on market shrimp and a few occasionally take Massivore. The growth is very noticeable, hopefully they all make it to true monster status. 
gage wow just like me i had cichlids with him and i sold them and i have collected more since then but i sold them 2 datnoids and kept one and now he is living with a puffer and arowana

Here's my dat, he's the first one I've owned. Begs for food like a puppy, eats like a pig and keeps his tankmates in check. I like him cause he's clumsy, but thinks he's the boss!

Nice datnoid how long you had him for?
You're brave mixing your fishes with a puffer. I want a puffer but not willing to risk my Dats. How'd you get the split bar? Hes super stable. Very nice

yea when i purchased the Mbu puffer he said he mix it with datnoids and arowanas so in the inside i was like OHHHYEAAA! idk how he got that split bar he was the oddball within the datnoids
