dont fear them. they'll help keep the tank clean. they'll even get te crap that builds up in and around rock and decoration.

Me too. I thought they were pretty cool untill they made my plants look like a christmas tree decorated with mts shells. Its ok though I took out all the plants in that tank and made it into a gravel and pagoda rock tank for my crayfish. Now I don't notice them unless i turn on the light at midnight.

good for sand bottomed tanks as they stop you getting anearobic gas pockets building up.

i love em! I've found them great in planted tanks as well. I can't possibly see why you find them annoying? They don't come out during the day so you rarely see them. Unless you look for em.

my comminity tank is infested with the little white rounder snails, they keep to the java moss lay there egs in there and at might you can see billions of little whie things in the black gravel. durring the day you only see about 30-40. Keep the tank clean and provide a snack for my fish so i like them.

If you want to get rid of them then get some lettus, boil it a bit, tie it to a rock prop it in for a couple of houred then pullout a million snails i dont do it but people do, i use craw fish in m cichlids tank and they need constant replacing
