The days of my baby 4 inch albino senegalus bichir has come to an sad end. after a month of paracites in the stomach and a couple of times of close call of deaths, his is ticking... i always thought i was a somewhat skilled bichir keeper until i dumbly fed my bichirs feeder guppies. For the last week, he was floating on the surface of the water, and yesterday and today, he stopped eating all together even when I put his favourite brine shrimp right in front of him. what happen to my awesome and active bichir that always eat all of the food before all of his tank mates could even notice! His tank is another albino bichir of the same size in a 30 gal tank. right now he is just lying with his head tilting in an aqward position while is "ex buddy" is biting his tail, while i am trying separate the two. theonly thing that is more sad than a death of a dear fish is seeing your dear fish die right in front of your eyes.:(:(:(

He is dead now after 5 minutes i post this thread. Better bury him .

RIP

Didn't you medicate it?
I would have also seperated it into a quarantine tank at the first sign of infection.

I guess it's a lesson learnt?
