Hey all
Just started getting into the hobby about a month ago.
Thanks to walmart and petco I started a 55 with only one 300 GPH HOB filter and get ready to scream:
1 Lutino Oscar
1 Rhino Plec
1 Jack Dempsey
2 Parrot Cichlids
2 Red Belly Pacu
3 Columbian sharks
3 Bala Sharks
and 7 feeder Rosey Red Minnows.
After losing a bala shark and doing a little research on what I had I promptly returned most of my fish, started emergency water changes, and bought an additional Penguin 350.
The fish I couldn't return ended up being the Oscar, Plec, 2 parrots, and Dempsey.
I now have a
Cycled 10 gallon fancy guppy tank (fast breeding treats for the larger fish). The 10 gallon is going to become a hospital tank and the guppy breeders are going into a 35 octagon tall.
and a Cycled 55 gallon tank which is going to hold 2 parrots (right now it is holding everyone
)
with a 125 coming in Nov. for the Oscar, Rhino, and Dempsey
With all that said, I really like the site and can't wait to get to know the people here.
