I've Been Convict-ed

At work I have a 30g in my office. I recently took my Clown Loaches home to a bigger tank and added 2 cute little Convicts to my work tank. Well, here it is a week later and I got fry all over the place! I walked in this morning and thought there was a detritus storm but, nope just a thousand baby Convicts. The irony is I've been trying to do this with Discus for years now! I can see why they call them the rabbits of the aquarium world. The happy couple vvvv

I loved my pair of Convicts, but after two broods, they were definitely way too much for me to handle. Them, and an identical tank of guppies right next to them. WTH is with Central American fish?

Discus are one of the hardest fish to take care of. With that much knowledge towards fish keeping why would you get 2 convict cichlids? convicts are one of the most easiest if not the easiest cichlid to keep alive.

most lfs wont pay for them. they just tell you the they will put them in with their feeders
