My girlfriend has a male veil tailed betta and we tried adding her female in with him... It was fine but the male began to really nip at her tail so we removed her... I've seen it done before but how do you keep male and female bettas together? We going to get a few more females but we wondering how to add them with a male :P help plz

help would be rrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy appreciated :P

*Note this isnt for breeding! This is long term.

Males and Females are usually for breeding purposes only. While people have mixed multiple Bettas together, it is ill advised. Multiple Females will work, however, putting a Male in the mix can trigger aggression amongst Females to win the "affections" of the Male. And people who place multiple Males in a tank have a large tank and a lot of decor/plants to break the line of sight.
