And i think ive come up with a stock that will work well for a 90 gal

2xAfrican knife fish
1x senegal bichir
?x Spotted climbing perch(dont know how many yet)
3x ropefish(any specific types i should get?)
3x African butterfly fish
1x featherfin catfish
6x congo tetras

I'm interested in this as well...i just got my first african knife today from the lfs, its pretty sick....even though its just kinda hiding behind rock, when i was feeding all of the fish he came right out pushed his way to the front and gulped down a pellet and like half a block of tubifex worms. Im also thinking about a ropefish I saw in there, it was nice and bright yellow. Personally im not a huge fan of the butterfly fish what about the leaf fish instead? saw one of those today as well...

That seems like it would all work out. I know that it will def. work out with a Senegal, Rope, and African Butterfly. (Seems how that's what I keep my African Knife with, and more....)

EDIT: 1,000th Post!!!:nilly:

I think there is only one kind of rope fish? They do like to be in groups though so get 3 for sure

Nice combination, it should work fine. My uncle has a ropefish in his 90 gal, you better make sure that aquarium is sealed tight! He jumps out of the water into the plexiglass all day long 0.0

LEAF FISH ALL THE WAY!!! I love leaf fish!

It should be fine. The Senegal can probably take down the Congo Tetras as it grows larger. However, it's possible with Albinos since they generally grow smaller. I had an African Themed tank awhile back with 12 Congo Tetras, a Ctenopoma, a Syno, and an ABK. As I think about it more, I do read that ABK are the less aggressive of the Chitala species and shoal in the wild, but it seems that people here have had issues with keeping multiple ABK in a tank. I think you can still give it a try, but I suggest getting more than 2.

I haven't kept ABKs together before, but what I've heard says they'd probably get along better in larger groups.

Plus, your senegal bichir can get large enough to pester both the congo tetras and the ctenopoma. My now-deceased senegal bichir once blinded an irridescent shark just for the hell of it, so yours could show the same kind of aggression.

Otherwise, your selection is fine.

(BTW, Ropefish only come in one kind.)
