i recently bought a nirly 7" jar.. sins i lost my other baby jar last week.. now his bin in my tank for 2 days now.. and there were guppies inside the tank when he came (around 6 of them).. today all were consumed..

i dont rili wana feed him live foods, since he got in my tank, i kept giving him TETRA arowana floating pellets, he sim uninterested with the pellets..

i would like to ask, do u tnk sooner he will accept eating pellets? coz back in the shop lfs's feed him superworms..

lastly, i bought supplements wich is to be poured in the tank and is good for flowerhorns and arowanas and other fishes, is it ok if i could pour some in the tank for the jar??

tnx alot guys!!! :)

Have you tried using market shrimp or krill?

I've had the best luck converting aros to frozen foods first...then introduce pellet foods. So far all of my aros are eating pretty much anything I throw into their tanks, but it took some time...except for the Jar I bought from VVateverzYo...he was already eating prepared foods out of the bucket. :D

You can try smaller foods that will look active under the return of the filter too. I started with mysis shrimp with my silver and once he started taking that I introduced some small krill and so on.

Best of luck!!

i wana stop feeding live foods for now, i lost 1 jar coz of that (probably) got sick... and now since hes still young, i jst wana give him pellets for now.. i hope later on he will start eating them.. il try to put the pellets nir the return of the filter, so as to luk as if there bouncing

sup bro. well considering that a healthy fish will never readily starve itself to death i reckon its simply a battle of will between u starving ure fish to the point where it will eat pellets. my arowana went 3 months without food wen i tried to introduce new food. every other day throw in a few pellets. eventually it will eat.

If you don't wanna feed it live fish and it wont accept pellets you can use earth worms, super worms, meal worms, cut prawns or tiny shrimps... but I would recommend starving and only giving it pellets and keep your hands crossed. Mine has been very picky!

three days without food and my Jar started taking pelllets...but mabye I'm just lucky :)
