It's usually a southern thing. I had them when I was a kid, I was introduced to them in Destin, Fl. I had 24 over the span of a year and a half, with 16 being the most at one time. They were kept in a 29g tank, and I loved them. Weird little creatures, I spent a lot of time waiting for them to grow big enough to change shells, that was the best part. I named then after cartoon characters, mostly the ninja turtles, granted I was like 9.

wow, today the science teacher got 2, ones the size of my fist and the other is a tad smaller. convenient,

careful people, crabs are in plague proportions at the moment!
