I've got Ick...need your help

I have a small planted tank with some tetras and a long fin albino pleco that has come down with ick. the fish are new so I assume that it came from the lfs. Anyway, does anyone have suggestions on a cure that wont kill the pleco or the plants as i dont want to move either to a diff tank and spread the ick.

change some water and start adding salt every few hours and add some coper safe.

im not sure copper safe is good for a planted tank... dont add salt every few hours. do a water change, kick up the temp to mid 80's and add salt (1 tablespoon/5 gallons)
