I had the 4 midas juveniles getting along quite peacefully..... Untill this morning.
2 have paired off and all he'll has broke loose lol
They've both claimed a pot and defend it ferociously
Make an interesting looking pair, ones barred and the other still has its dark black blotches I mentioned in a previous post.
Sorry for the crap phone pic

Grats on the pairing! Yeah they are rather mean, the midas. But given enough room, the other should be able to survive despite these two having paired up.

Also love the random electric yellow just hanging around there. :P

+1 gratzi

My personal opinion, i wouldnt let them breed so young. Midas females experience stunting when bred young. Ive seen it many times. Just me.

Apart from putting them in separate tanks, us there any way of preventing them from breeding so young?

Haha. Well he looks nice there. :) I love Electric Yellows, prolly my favourite African lol. They're not the most colorful or the largest growing or whatever, but I just love them.
