I'm not sure how I want the hardscape yet, but I feel like this would be okay. Any suggestions?2011-10-31_16-30-26_955.jpg2011-10-31_16-30-49_765.jpg2011-10-31_15-08-09_599.jpg2011-10-31_16-30-39_704.jpg2011-10-31_16-30-26_955.jpg2011-10-31_16-30-49_765.jpg2011-10-31_15-08-09_599.jpg2011-10-31_16-30-39_704.jpg

You definately want to keep the rocks to an odd number. I'm not sure that 5 of that size will work in you tank. It's possible but I'm not feeling it in its current set up. The large rock should be your focal point and placed using the golden rule. See below.

I often see in a three rock set up two rocks oriented in the same direction or tilt with the third tilted the opposite way. I would also slant your rocks slightly back to avoid any shadows from your lighting.

Keep playing with it till it feels right. When it comes down to it, the tanks should appeal to you. If you like it great. I'm new to this also but have learned alot in the last 6 months.

Checkout these websites for inspiration:

Happy planting!

It's a small tank, so it will be challenging. I say create a focus point instead of having rocks strewn about. And don't feel tied to the rule about having odd-numbered groupings of rocks. It's perfectly fine to use 2, or 4.

The two most usefull points of information!!!

I would go more by the previously posted links for more information but ultimately you're the one looking at the tank everyday not us so if you like how it looks then that's all that matters!

Oops...been meaning to update. I decided to move the big rock and tilt it. I just added plants yesterday:) I guess I can still play with it while the HC grows in. So for all I have so far are some HC and a few A. Nana Petites. I kind of want another plant, but don't really know if anything else might look good. I was thinking of some DHG, but I'm not sure where it would go.

Now that I think about it...some DHG would look good in the corner (I think)...might go pick some up this weekend:)

DHG or maybe some nana val. might look nice in the back left corner I was thinking, but either way I think the tank looks quite well.
