I posted this on my Facebook page and since the creators of this strain used Monsterfishkeeper to document the strains creation, I figured I might as well post it here too. :P

"Some history about the "Short Body Green Texas" or "Izzy Short Body" I am currently working with. It is very hard to find stable fertile strains, let alone have one that can be traced as far back as 2010-2011. I hope this research shines some light on this awesome strain of Texas. "

youre wasting your time. But if you enjoy doing it, then it's not so bad.

I've had a bunch of these short Carpintis. All are fertile. So I cant even agree with what you wrote

Wasting my time? I'm sorry but a real breeder does all he/she can to find out the linage of the strain(s) they are working with...it's called credibility and transparency.

And what's there to agree/disagree with? All of my sources are cited and nothing is left to question. I didn't make any claims nor does this apply to ALL short body texas.

Are you trying to say that you've had a bunch of Ed's short body texas? or short body carpintis? The strain I am referring to in the document is a special mix of Escondido, Rio Hondo and a short body texas strain that was imported. Also, I never said anything about fertility or lack there of. The only mention of fertility made in the document was from a quote Ed made in 2011.

This is the CITED history of a strain of short body texas mix that was developed by Ed (izzy_here) and continued by Daniel OKC Cichlid. If there is something you don't believe or trust or just want some more context for, just scroll down and look at the footnotes...they are all clickable links that link you back to where I got the information from.

any idea what happened to izzy? I may be working a similar strain to him next year. I have a SB male right now that I am growing out and a "super pearl" escondido female. Just focusing on other stuff at the moment.
