Hey, Just picked up this juvenile jd, I know its alittle premature to determine it's sex but any advice will help, Am hoping for a female, what do you think?

Like you said, hard to tell at that size. Biggest give away once it gets bigger is the scaling. A male will generally have more "plating" on the body and a female will have more of a blue beard. Best of luck, keep us updated with pictures!
As already stated, bit too young, although I don't see any blue at all on the lower jaw, so my wild guess would be male.
Thx, will post some updated pics when its matured some more, oddly enoff my midevil had taked a likeing to him\her, & he's the dominant one that runs the tank, so at least the little guy will be safe till then
