Hey guys....... I found this local deal and was wondering what everyone thought of it. Its a 110 gallon tank 48in x 18in x 30in it comes with the all glass hood, 48in light strip, over 20 fake plants, some other decorations, canister filter, two power filters. I am going to look at it on thursday so I dont know what kind of filters they are. All this for $200. The lady said it has sat for a year....... Just wondering what everyone thought of the deal

Also what do you guys think I should throw in there..... I was thinking one Oscar and either three dempsys or three green terrors..... or Going with like 3-5 Frontosas and hoping to get a pair.

I'm definately not a fan of the tall tanks, because I have a 90gal(48"x18"x25") and maintenance is tough enough.

But for $200, who could pass it up????:D

I'd look into buying or building a stand that sits alot lower though. You'll thank me the first time you have to work at the bottom of the tank.:headbang2

Sounds like a heck of a deal. I'll have to agree with the tall tank issue. It's a PITA to work on with the bottom, mine is 48in x 24in x 24in. I had to get a small step-stool just so I could reach the bottom.

I have to agree go for it, but yeah tasll tanks suck. Mine is 60 x 18 x 26, I have to get a chair for maint. And even then I can't really reach the back of the tank with my hands.

Add another 1/2 foot on that!!! I have troublw working on my 90gal without taking off my shirt.

I'd look for a stand that you could cut 12-16" off the base.;)
