i finally decided on two fish i wanted to use to make my own hybrid male fh and female jack dempsey their going into a 125 gallon jack is 4.5 in and fh is 3.5 in what do u think

-will it work
-has it worked before
-any pics of this combo

i will post pics of my progress any suggestions any info would help!

1. yes more then likely it will work.
2. i'm sure its been done before.
3. no i do not have pictures currently of this combo.

may i ask, what you have to gain by breeding a flowerhorn to a JD?

what do you hope to gain from the jack dempsey?

probably the pearling is what hes getting at, have you seen a full grown male dempsey, the pearling on them is like no other fish.

yep i own a full grown adult male. i think the longer body will play a part in this breeding, and that something we try to stay out of as flowerhorn breeders.
