It's looks young my guess is male. Females have more color on the gill plates.

Agree.
Smeared eye dots, round fins, head shape, and lack of pearls, all point to female.
Hard to say for sure because its so young and the black gravel and no backround. If you get some lighter substrate and a colorful backround it will make its colors stand out more. Its colors wont be so dark and stressed looking.
