Okay by its behavior I believe male as it is extremely aggressive and will lip lock any large fish of similar size he chases territorially my one smaller jd away and I have another growout jd tank with a jd I want to become the boss because this one attacks everything! Okay he Is really aggressive and the picture aren't that great but you can still make out the general spots of color. Any ideas?

Both of them are males. You can tell from the lack of spangles on their gill plates. Also, males exhibit more color on their body compared to females.
