Hi I just noticed my jack dempesy is opening his mouth really wide and using it too push gravel around in a certain spot to for a little hole what is he doing?

But I dont have any other cichlids with him the tank mates are clown knife Lima shovelnose catfish, striped Raphael catfish and bristle nose pleco, and my pleco is the only female I know of
