I own a 60 gallon tank.

I was dead set on a JD with some convicts, but a recent visit to the fish store I really would like a tiger oscar. I was just wondering if a JD and an Oscar would be ok in a 60 gallon with any other fish? I would really like to get more than 2 fish so if thats not possible id have to decide one or the other, so also what are the best tankmates for either JD or an oscar?

Thanks!

JD fine, 60g a no go for an Oscar IMHO. need a 75 at least for an oscar by himself.

I wouldn't do an Oscar in a 60 gallon, can do a JD; but from my experience (and many others), JD's very much like to hide a majority of the time, definitely not on the same level of cruising about and interacting like an Oscar

I hand feed my Oscar. Very playful and fun to watch. The jd I had was shy and hid a lot of the time. Oscar will get too big for a 60 gallon.

I Think the Oscar would outgrow that 60 in no time
