i have a dempsey that is about 6 in. long and i want to breed it, but im not sure how to sex them. any info. on sexing them or just breeding in general.

I suck at sexing JD's but in my experience with them, I couldn't stop them from breeding. One thing that I noticed is that a raise in the temp, water change and some frozen krill set the mood for them. I hope that the mated pair are in a tank by themselves because they are VERY aggressive when protecting their territory. Good luck
