Jack Dempsey info?

Out of curiosity does anyone know how they got the name "Jack Dempsey"? I'm very familiar with the boxer. I searched for a awhile online and couldn't really find any info about how they got the name.

I believe it's from their aggressive behavior similar to the way Jack Dempsey would box.

I figured it was something like that. I was just hoping there'd be some interesting story behind it. Pretty sure I was just over thinking it. Lol

Because they were discovered before he was. And as such... Mike was aptly nicknamed a convict
