just spotted a bunch of eggs laid on a flat rock in my grlfriends tank. whats the game plan everyone? should i put a divider in the tank to keep them safe?
Dempsey parents will take care of the fry so you don't need to separate them. On the other hand if they get scared or feel the fry aren't healthy they will eat them. I would suggest leaving it alone but when the fry are hatched I would separate the parents from the fry.
Hi. Cichlids are usually good parents but separate them from the fry at post larva stage or vice-versa. Also, no other fish that can eat the fry should be in the same tank. Good luck.
