Well, last week I did a huge water change, rearranged the whole tank, and bought a striped pim catfish (striped pictus). Now the Jack dempsey hides all day and doesn't eat. We can rule out parasites because I don't feed her feeders. She will eat frozen blood worms though. Also I have had her converted to pellets for the longest time now... Should I try a different type of food?

Assuming your water params are good, I'd guess she's just pissed at the redecorating. This very thing happened with my JD. It was almost 2 weeks until he started eating again. Once he started eating, it was like his hunger strike never happened. He's been fine since.
