hi,one of my tanks is a 100 gallon with

1 x fire eel
1 x senegal
1 x delhezi
1 x hepsetus odoe(african pike)

what i want to know is,i would like to add one more fish such as a jack dempsey or a malawi eye biter or,another something that you guys can suggest.

thanks in advance mark.

ehh i would do a jack..since you have all those eel..that get fairly large and the african pike..i would do something smaller like severums...or ya know a smaller less aggro species of cichlid..like nicaraguensis..

If you want some cichlid species in this tank I would stick to the Americans...JD should be fine. Dimidiochromis Compressiceps(Malawi Eye-biter) require completely different water chemistry(high ph hard water) to your current soft water fish....

Get a jack dempsey or oscar.eye biters are called that for a reson.

I keep a D.Compressiceps with my SA/CA with no problems with water conditions. (99% of the time they are in regular tap in your LFS,and I would venture to say about 80% of the time they wind up in standard tap even after being brought home)

As far as aggresion mine is definately not at the bottom of the pecking orer, and has made bitter enemies with my JD,resulting in encounters that he always gets the better of.Seeing a JD lip lock a Eye Biter is an interesting sight indeed......

A male Green Terror. They have sooooooooo many different colors on them it's utterly unbelievable. I've yet to seen an image capture their true beauty. They're as smart as Oscars I would venture to say as well although I'm sure there will be some Oscar owners who'd beg to differ.
