Can I keep a JD pair and a pleco in a 75 gallon tank

can I keep a pair of texes chiclid and a pleco in a 75 gallon tank

if not what tank size will work:nilly:

I am not putting 2 pairs of chiclids and 2 plecos. I am putting 1 pair of chiclids and one pleco

depends on the pleco... 75 is the absolute minimum i would consider with a jd pair. most plecos would get to big to live with them. if its a smaller species of pleco, it could work.

You could probably get away with a JD pair or a Carpintis pair (assuming that's what you mean when you say "Texas") with a small pleco in a 75, but definitely not one of the larger growing species.

Plecos love to eat eggs and are very good at doing so. I wouldn't put one with a pair of anything unless I wanted to keep them from breeding.

I think your original idea sounds best. texas or JD's would be cool in a 75.

You might want to also look at EBJD.
I would say a 75 would be fine with JD's and a pleco (Clown Plecos stay smaller and I've kept them with my breeding pairs of JD's in the past). They might get some of the eggs, but my JD's were pretty good at protecting their nest.

chould i put a single red devil or midis chiclid with a pleco in a 75 gallon tank. if not choclid i keep a single red devil or midis chiclid
