what would a reasonable price for a jack dempsey?

I purchased mine at 1.5-2" at the LFS for $2.99 each. It was either 2.99 or 3.99 I cannot remember.

I got my awesome fish at walmart for around 2 or 3 bucks. She was real small when I got her.

I got mine when they were around 2"s and the lfs sold em for about $2.50

Yeah, I got mine at around 3"... a few from petsmart for $4, and some from a mom-and-pop shop LFS for $5... they had a few 5 inchers for $8 too, but I'd rather get em pretty young and raise em right so their fins don't get torn and their colors develop properly.
