i have a quick question about two jack dempseys i just bought. They were labeled as a jack dempsey/ texas hybrid. When i asked the guy working at the sfish store more about them he didnt give me much information. my guess was it was a cross of a jack and a texas cichlid but this is my first time keeping anykind of cichlid, but i dont know if the red devil is a cichlid or not cuz i had one of those. any ways can any one tell me more about this "hybrid" i bought, will it behave any different than a pure breed jack. any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is a pic of one of them

i aint a pro but i dont think tis jack Texas... also this might get better attention under the hybrid section!

Yes a Red Devil is a prime example of a cichlid. Your fish is more like a Jack dempsey x Convict. Any texas in it will result in the loss of bars.

opps, didnt see that section. better go post it over there.
