I will just put the Jack in there I want to keep the tank and dont want something that will outgrow it. Which I know I am pushing it with an adult Jack but with frequent water changes I think it will be OK. Thanks fot the input
I think a pair would work in a 55 too if you keep up with the water. I have my pair in a 55 right now and they are happy and breeding. Neither is quite full grown yet and I picked up a 125 today but still, the 55 has been good and they are close to full grown.
You can put a Jack Dempsey with a Severum at least.I had a Tiger Oscar,Jack Dempsey,Severum,Green Terror inside a 55 gallon as a temporary grow out tank.Currently right now they're in a 125 gallon,so I don't see why you can add at least a severum or a convict. Also even if the severum becomes larger and aggressive, the Jack Dempsey surprisingly enough can fight back with out hesitating compared to an Oscar that realizing it 5 minutes later.
