I just picked up a 6 inch Jack . She came to the LFS yesterday from a 30 gal with 3-4 goldfish and a 6 inch red bellied piranha (yes) . Looks like a female with her fins torn and she is pretty skittish - the severums are pushing her around a bit but she has alot more room now . Here is some quik pics (sorry for the quality ) with the phone .

I said I got her yesterday but I meant Wednesday . She is not eating much - hardly anything , I tried flake , cichlid sticks , cichlid med pellets and frozen bloodworm , brine shrimp and squid . I also soaked it in garlic guard still fussy . Tonite I tried some carnivore sticks large , and she is hitting them hard and chewing them up , the cories are under her having a field day . She I guess I found what she likes - time to fatten her up .

a jd and a rbp what?!?! personally my jd would beat my rbp's asses because theyre skiddish but i guess if they wanted to fight back they could do a ton of damage, nice save.

Nice save for the JD I saved a flowerhorn that should have been dead but I was able to save it in time for straving and ick and being in a small tank like your JD. What I did was put it in a hospital tank and treated it with (lifeguard) and he started to eat in a couple of days see link below. All in all when I save a fish put it in a quartine tank and treat it and then if He/She is doing well then they get moved over hope this helps.
