Jack Dempsey Tankmates

Hi I was wondering what tankmates i can put with my 4" jack dempsey i have a yellowtail barricuda in my tank now and they dont bother eachother. But i would like more mates for them...................... any suggestions other than any cichlids for the fact that im really not a big fan of them except for a jack and oscar!!!!!1 any input would be perfect thakyou

How about an Oscar?

You could also go with clown loaches, congo tetras, silver dollars, catfish....and on and on and on. Look around and find out what type of fish you want/like and do the research to find out its compatibility. JDs are aggressive but not as bad as you think. Ive kept a few through the years and each fish is differnt. They can be very docile or very territorial, just depends on the individual fish.

You could try giant danios or tinfoil barbs when they are smaller. At this size you could also try other cichlids like convicts.

Since you dont want cichlids go with active schoolers that are too big to get eaten such as silver dollars
