Im wondering what is going on with my Jack Dempsey, there has been a change in his color, and his stomach region is pretty "blown up." the color change might be related to the change in light bulb... but im curious as far as the stomach goes.

Bloated stomach. Could be the result of an internal infection, or just constipation. How long have this been going on? Is he eating? Any change in behavior?
