Where Palm Trees Grow
I bought a new baby JD last week for my new 30g last week but my 30g was cycling so he had to go in the 10g, so when the 30g was done cycling I had to catch him to put him in the 30g. But he got real scared and darted into a hole in my dead coral and got stuck, we had to push him out from the back with a sponge to get him out, hes really tore up from trying to get him out, half of his tail got tore off and hes scraped his eye but that has healed, but the bottom of his body is pretty scraped up. Will this heal over time? Or will he always have half a tail?

i would think it would grow back. I had an ornate that got fin rot and his fin is back.

Depends on if the rays were damaged. If so it will not grow back, if not, it will.

the rays are the spine like structures within the fin that help to hold its shape and give it strength

I have a Venustus that lost almost its entire right pectoral fin when it was young (didn't notice it until after I had it home). The fin never grew back but that hasn't prevented it from growing to full size and getting along just fine. Most people don't even notice it.

My parrot got stuck in a hole in a rock. I couldn't push her out frontwards and had to push her out by her nose. She was bleeding, and scraped up badly, but she healed up fine. Just keep the water super clean :)

I really don't think it's gonna grow back kinda sucks, atleast it's not so bad to where it makes them look real bad when they are bigger, I've heard they get beautiful when they are bigger.
