If you can sex them and make sure you don't get a breeding pair, it might work.
It really just depends on the fish in this case. I've had fish of each species that would claim an entire 75 for themselves and kill anything else in there (including a syndontis catfish), and I've had some that are very peaceful. These two species just vary a lot.
Your best bet is to grow them all out from juvies together. If a pair forms, you need to sell/get rid of one or the pair. And keep the fish that tolerate eachother.
