Hey guys just wonderin if any1 had any advice, info on jack dempseys
specifically
tank mates
diet
size
breeding
bio load
agression
tank size
seling babies (dont wana nd up w/ 1000 babes no1 wants like w/ my cons)

tankmates depends on the tank size. In 6 foot tanks, the tankmates can include other medium or large cichlids of mid-level aggression. Some smaller species like convicts can make good tankmates too. As for diet, high quality pellets are the best staple.

wow! 6 foot tanks is bgger than i was hoping 2 hav 2 get!

ok thas more wut i wanted
how many cud i put in a very heavy filtered 55?

A 80gal would be much better for a JD...but thats me!!!!

2, male and female. Will need bigger when they are full grown. Not many will want the fry, too common and inexpensive, like your cons. Get a tank with an oscar or something to feed the fry to and cull like 99 percent of the fry. Grow a couple/few just to watch the process.

This is the problem i'm in. I bought 4 small jd for my 55gal to wait to get a pair then get rid of the rest. Well my lfs now won't accept my jd fry if/when I have any. So now i'm trying to get rid of 3 small jd so I can just keep a male. And I can't afford a 75g tank with a oscar to eat the fry lol. :(

ya ok i dont think im gonna do it just kuz now i think id rather do angels/discus
hopefully i can make a little $ on their fry

That's quite the change from jds! A pair of angels in 55 will be ok, they can be jerks when breeding.
Discus are a whole nother ball game, though.
