What are the differences between them? From what I've read, the EBJDs tend to die off quickly and the Blue Gene is smaller and less aggressive than a common Jack Dempsey. Is all of that true?

EBJDs do tend to get sick/die more easily than regular dempseys or BGJDs IME. I've never heard that BGJD are less aggressive or smaller than a regular JD. I don't find that to be true. BGJD are exactly like a regular JD, they just carry the gene to produce the electric blues.

EBJDs are indeed weaker than a normal JD/BGJD - the genetic elements responsible for the electric blue is also responsible for the physiological defects that leads to a lower vigor, and the inability to produce viable offsprings with other EBJDs.

As for BGJDs being smaller and less aggressive than a normal JD, there is little evidence to suggest this. Most evidence points towards them being exactly like a normal JD.
