Jack dempsy color

Iv had my jack for about a year to 2 and I was wondering how long before it gets more color? Seems dull compared to others iv seen.

It does look pretty dull, try feeding hikari and new life spectrum...a varied diet

that one is a female and females dont get mcuh color

lady jd's get plenty of color if there is a handsome male jd in the tank ( See my avatar)
mine gets the color of yours when i put her in another tank away from her mate.
