My jack demseys just laid their eggs down and Im wondering what size tank they are going to need, and when to pull them out of the tank of the parents?the fry that is!

for a quik fix, i bet even a 5G is fine... in the long run, i'd say a 20 Long or Reg would be fine..

You COULD leave the fry with the parents and let them grow them up them selves. Personally I don't think that anything under a 29 will work for any amount of time. Just think....you are going to have 100-150 little 1-2" fish in a 20 gallon....? If you are doing 100% waterchanges every day and then some!

I figure id leave them in there for a few weeks, but they are going to need their own tank.Im thinking ill just have to set up another 55 for them.

JDs are not mouth brooders unfortunately. When if comes to breeding things, I find that your best bet for space is at least a 40g. I've been thinking of getting one, just to breed some Convict feeders. I bred some Convicts before in a 20g and I just don't think that's enough space. IMO
