anyone ever hear of a jd and a red devil mix? i have a red devil whos around 8-9 inches with my jd whos around 3 in my 65 gallon and am wondering if they will brreed and if anyone has a pic of this breed or any sugestions on wat i can do to help them breed, i am positive that i have a male jd and female red devil

you'll be lucky if you're RD doesn't kill your JD.........i doubt they will breed they may show signs of affection but the genetics may just not be right for it to happen......but you can put a smooth piece of slate/tile in there i use terra cotta pots....and if you notice them guarding it or fanning it check and see you may get lil translucent dots.....but like i said chances are you will have to remove the JD befor to long.....who knows you may get lucky, have they been in there since fry-hood?
no u see lol ive been trying to find a tankmate for my red devil but she would kill anything that would go in the tank.when i got my jd at 1.5 inchs she beat the crap outta him so i separated him,grew him out to 3 inches and arouund 2 weeks ago i put him back in and she doesnt even touch him they eat together and she seems to not mind him at all
interesting.........well that's cool if it works out for ya. still don't think they will breed......but like i said put in some clean slate........do some water changes and i think adjusting the temp up a bit will sometimes encourage/trigger them to court not ness breed......good luck mate
