I have recently been given a 7 inch green terror, and a 8 inch jack dempsey. I do have a few questions...

They seem to be displaying what I think is mating behavior. The GT which I think is a female will go up to the JD and nudge him. The JD will then turn and with an open mouth push off the GT off / away. They don't seem to be fighting as this display isn't really aggressive, it seems more playful. No lip locking.

Can you confirm my suspicions that the JD is a male, and the GT is a female?

Can they even breed?

I'd agree they are male too. I have seen some very impressive JD females though. Maybe it's the other way around??? The first pic of the GT makes me feel it's a male because of the shape of the head (prominant bump).

The GT looks inbred/deformed. Likely a male though.

both look male

Both are males for sure. Your gt is a round body gt . Its a resesive gene from bitrh
