Jack Frost

Hello! I wanted to introduce my newest betta, Jack Frost. (I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that name or not, feel free to make suggestions)

I saw him posted on FB and contacted the breeder asking what color he was so I could hopefully find one like him and it turned out he was for sale!

Here is the pic the breeder had put up:

So a few days later he arrived..

I floated him and then drip acclimated him. Probably unnecessary but I am paranoid.

After being introduced C:

He seems to like his tank, almost never stops moving. Which is why since the first day I've only been able to get one more okay pic!

For now he is in this little 5g and it looks kind of bad, especially the background. He will move into a 10g on my desk once the peacock gudgeon fry in it are old enough to be re-homed.

I'd like to decorate the 10g like this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Imx5t0wGiDU really just the glass ornaments and maybe snowflakes on the background.
Hopefully I can get a glass open ball ornament for him to use as a sort of hammock. There will be live plants too I just need to think of ones that would look right

Very beautiful betta there!! Curious what type of floating plant is that? I need some for my 55 gallon

I can't wait to setup a betta tank in my dorm room next January.

His face is starting to change color, more white. Interesting

He looks absolutely stunning! I think his name suits him very well. I'm a bettaholic myself and I think it's almost impossible to own just one.
